As far as research goes, I have found a RCMP source which I'm thrilled about. And believe it or not Quora has been very helpful. Other sources are available on the internet as long as I'm looking at LEOs (Law Enforcement Officers) working in the states.

 

Note: The questions I sent off to the Nelson Police Department were addressed. Not with a phone call, but a revision to their website. Not exactly what I was looking for but until I find it necessary to call, I'm leaving  them alone.
